Due to the current spead of the pandemic in these times a decision has been taken by the church leadership team to close the church building for the forseeable future. This means the building will not be available for Sunday worship, access to Lighthouse/Red Bananas or housegroups. Government guidance is that corporate worship can take place, but a large number of churches are making a decision not to open church buildings in these times. This action is taken not from a place of fear but from a heart of love for our neighbour and the community. We want to play our part in stemming the spread of this virus. (see current news for more info)
The building is closed but "church is not". We will continue to meet each Sunday at 10.00 am via Zoom. All other meetings will continue via Zoom where possible. If you would like to join us then please email:enquiriesstocksfieldbc@gmail.com and we would love to send you the Zoom link and passcode and welcome you. Those who worship with us normally can find the link and passcode in the Members Page of this website.
We will continue to review the situation and open the building as soon as we safely can.
And I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year:
“Give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown.”
And he replied:
“Go out into the darkness and put your hand in the Hand of God. That shall be to you better than light and safer than a known way.”
So I went forth, and finding the Hand of God, trod gladly into the night. And He led me towards the hills and the breaking of day in the lone East.
