Advice for Covoid 19 Virus

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND ANY EVENTS AT SBC IF YOU FEEL AT ALL UNWELL.  

  • Follow public health advice on hand washing - 20 seconds with hot water and soap

  • Rely only on trusted sources of information such as the government and NHS websites

  • Check and follow the latest Foreign Office travel advice

  • Check your family’s vaccinations for other conditions are up to date

  • Check on elderly or vulnerable family, friends and neighbours

  • Use NHS 111, pharmacies and GPs (responsibly) and only go to A&E when really needed

  • Go into self-isolation if you are advised to by the NHS, but not otherwise

Authorities already have the legal power to “detain and direct” people in quarantined areas, and apply for court orders to force people to undergo "quarantine and medical examination”.

The reason the plan has been drawn up is because, as it admits, “it may be that widespread exposure in the UK is inevitable". We're "all susceptible to catching the disease”, because there's no vaccine and no natural immunity in our bodies yet
