SHOEBOXES FOR ROMANIA 2021

Once again we are aiming to send Christmas Shoeboxes to Honedura in Romania.  Last year we managed to send 175 shoe boxes from SBC.

We have great links with the “Smiles Foundation” who run the “Bethlehem Centre” in Honedura.  We have sent shoe boxes over the last years and teams from SBC have been out to Romania to help with building and community Projects.  We are hoping another team will go out to Romania in October 2022. (Covid Permitting)!

Because of Covid we have had to do things differently last year and this, and would really appreciate donations of money, to purchase goods for the shoe boxes.  If you are able please donate via BACS to Stocksfield Baptist Church Account number:  Sort code:           and please reference your donations “Shoeboxes 2022”.

If you would still like to fill your own shoebox for donation a leaflet is available on our website, of ideas for what to put in.  Last date for drop off will be Saturday 6th November at the Church.  If you need any help please email:  sbcromania@gmail.com

We are also in desperately in  need of empty shoe boxes, so if you have any, please can you drop off at 31, Baliol Road, Stocksfield.   Please drop off before 3rd October or after 18th October.   If you can, could you possibly cover with Christmas wrapping paper? If not we will gratefully accept plain boxes, which we will cover. If the church is open you can also drop off there.  (Stay & Play meets on a Tuesday Morning so is open then and of course on a Sunday Morning for worship).

Last Year as well as the children’s boxes, we filled a few boxes for the elderly and for families as well.

The Smiles Foundation also needs baby clothes, so if you would like to knit any outfits etc, these would be very welcome.   Any musical instruments also gratefully received.

We also need large cardboard boxes, to put the shoe boxes in for transportation.  These need to be flat packed due to storage constraints.
